“Words can be like X-rays if you use them properly – they’ll go through anything. You read and you’re pierced.”

              - Aldous Huxley, Brave New World

Erin Brown is a writer and freelance reviewer based on Wiradjuri country, at the heart of the Riverina in rural NSW. When she’s not taking photos, churning out essays for her postgrad, listening to Bruce Springsteen, or cuddled up with a border collie and a book, you can find her in the dining room office drinking tea, typing like her fingers are tiny bit possessed, and doing what she loves most.

Her published work includes a mishmash of poetry, prose, Egyptian shadow theatre, and a patchwork selection of TV reviews about shows she is or was obsessed with at some point. Most of it you can find here, but occasionally she’ll pop up in the odd podcast, or instagram feed for her photography.

She grew up in red dust, on black dirt, under mostly blue skies, surrounded and inspired by people who understood the capacity of words to change a life. Thinks there's no dinner Massaman curry spices can't improve on and loves electrical storms. Brownie expert who cusses and has definitely watched Mortal Kombat more times than you. Finally gets why her grandmother said it matters to use your best fine bone china to love whoever walks through the door.

Mostly, she’s just really glad you’re here.
